About St. Mary’s Orthodox School
St. Mary’s Orthodox School, Kanpur is run by the St. Mary’s Orthodox Syrian Church Society, Kanpur. The Orthodox Church is a part of worldwide Christendom. The indigenous and ancient community of Orthodox Christians traces its origin to the arrival of St. Thomas, one of the disciples of Christ, in A.D. 52.

St. Mary, the Mother of Lord Jesus Christ, is the patron saint of the school. The school is a minority institution established under the minority rights guaranteed by the Indian Constitution.
