“The aim of education is the knowledge, not of facts, but of values.”
--William S. Burroughs

Education is the most powerful weapon which one can use to CHANGE the world…
It is not the preparation for life; it is life itself.
It is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school.

Dear All,

By the grace of God Almighty and inspiring leadership of our Honourable Chairman and Managing Committee, along with the esteem trust of our Parents, St. Mary’s Orthodox School; established in the year 1979 celebrates Ruby Year (40th Year) in 2018 and has proved to be a Home away from Home, for its scholars who have been nurtured with a strong motto ‘LOVE ONE ANOTHER’.

Education here is the process of facilitating, learning or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs and habits.

Well trained and highly motivated faculty facilitates the curriculum to the enthusiastic SMOSian in the classroom with the concept of Re think… Re imagine…Re invent.

Learning here for them is supported by 5 E’s-ENGAGE, EXPLORE, EXPLAIN, ELABORATE & EVALUATE so that they are much au courant about their own metacognition which allow them to make discoveries to process new skills using prior knowledge to build new knowledge.

The Pedagogy (Educational methods) include story telling, discussions, teaching, training and directed research; providing all learners with capabilities they require to become economically productive, develop sustainable livelihoods, contribute to peaceful and democratic societies and enhance individual well-being.

Under the flagship of SMOS, I am privileged to take an opportunity to quote a few famous lines of the legendry poet Robert Frost….
The woods are lovely dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Warm regards,

Parul Bhargava
